A number of urban areas have their local trail systems. The most notable is the large number of trails through Milwaukee County Parks under the name of the Oak Leaf Trail. Other local systems are a trail running along Lake Michigan north from Kenosha, Lake Michigan and Root River Trails in Racine, the Fox River Trail in Waukesha, and trails along the Milwaukee River in West Bend. See the Milwaukee section for more on Milwaukee County trails.
